"inspiration" - (a) a divine influence or action on a person believed to qualify him or her to receive and communicate sacred revelation; (b) the action or power of moving the intellect or emotions; (c) an inspiring agent or influence.

Inspiration comes to me from many different sources. Conversations with friends, students, or clients, books that jump at me from shelves in stores, websites I stumble upon when cyber-travelling, or stories I hear - are some of my most favorite sources. This area is being updated on a frequent basis, and I hope you enjoy these as much as I do...

[Inspiration] Simon's Reflections is a free e-newsletter that I have been publishing on a bi-weekly basis since the year 2000. It contains writings that touch the heart, provoke the mind, and inspire action. To join this emailing list, which is managed as a Yahoo list, - free, no MSG added, get touched and inspired at your own risk, no limit per customer, free to share with family and friends, not tested on animals - click here. You can also browse through the archives, or share your thoughts with others in the blog area of this site.

It would probably be a daunting and almost impossible task to mention all the websites I have seen that touched and inspired me. Yet, there are some that hold a special place and meaning, and I keep coming back to them. They are listed on delicious, here.

Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counsellors, and the most patient of teachers. - Charles W. Eliot

Books have been my friends since the beginning of my time. Hiding under the covers with a book and a flashlight, after being sent to bed, was a childhood passion and a thrill. These quiet friends have inspired, touched, stimulated, excited, saddened, annoyed, triggered, provoked, evoked, and taught me on endless occasions. Dear lifelong friends - I wish I had remembered you all. The ones I do, are kept in my online library.
